Embodying Presence in the Climate Crisis

Earth Meditation with Gratitude

Gratitude opens the heart and keeps the heart open. When we orient towards gratitude, we remember what we love and why we are. We connect to those we are grateful for--human, plant, soil, jay, earth worm.

Remembering and connecting daily to your love for this precious earth keeps our relationship to the Earth alive and nourished.

I offer this meditation as an expression of gratitude and love.

Earth Element Guided Meditation

The Earth element is explored in this guided meditation. The earth element is stable and receptive, grounding, still and strong. In this guided meditation we will connect with the Earth element within our bodies, outside our bodies and the Earth herself. This meditation opens us up to the direct experience of One Earth. It also reminds us that the qualities of the Earth element are always available--giving us the opportunity to discover and embody the strength and receptivity of Earth.

The Wisdom of Climate Grief—Guided Exercise

It is natural to be experiencing grief over our changing planet. The loss of natural habitats, species extinction and the anticipated losses yet to come--can bring up a lot of sadness, perhaps overwhelming grief.

This exercise is a guided exploration inviting us to feel the grief we may have for the planet right now. It is permission to feel the grief and explore it, in an embodied, curious, engaging way.

This is a simple exercise and I offer it as a way of honoring grief. May we find many ways to grieve together, to hold grief, to learn from it and see the humbling and opening power of allowing grief together. I wish to create public spaces and rituals where we can honor grief together.
