Dream As Koan Guided Exercise

This is a guided meditation where we explore how to enter a dream figure and embody its energy, presence and wisdom. I liken this to koan practice in the Zen tradition.

In the beginning of the meditation I give the instruction to write down a dream. And label the primary and secondary aspects of the dream. This is a term from Process Work Psychology. Primary is anything that you identify with in the dream, what we call the dream ego (My feelings, My thoughts, I do, I am, I say, I think..). Secondary is whatever is "not self" the other characters, images, scenery. You may wish to have a pen and paper to write out your dream.
